Crewe trio bailed after drugs and weapon discovered in traffic stop

Two men and a woman from Crewe were arrested on suspicion of possessing with intent to supply class A and B drugs and for possession of an offensive weapon, following a West End traffic stop.
On Friday 10 April, Cheshire Police witnessed a vehicle being driven "suspiciously" in the West Street area.
At 7.05pm, officers caught up with the car, which they believed was trying to avoid them and swiftly pulled it over.
When searching the vehicle and its occupants, police found quantities of class A and B drugs, along with a baseball bat.
A 40-year-old man, 38-year-old male and 39-year-old woman were all arrested at the scene. They have since been released on conditional bail.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 7.05pm on Friday 10 April, officers on patrol in Crewe sighted a vehicle acting suspiciously in the area of West Street.
"The car was appearing to try and actively avoid officers. Officers soon caught up with the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
"The occupants and vehicle were searched, with officers find quantities of class A and B drugs in the car. A baseball bat was also found.
"A 40-year-old man, a 38-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman, all from Crewe, were arrested on suspicion of possessing with intent to supply class A and B drugs, and possession of an offensive weapon.
"All three have since been released on conditional bail."
