A Crewe town centre bank has submitted plans to instal a new cash machine and CCTV camera - replacing an older model.

HSBC, Market Street, submitted its proposals to Cheshire East Council on Wednesday 11 January.

The bank wants to replace its external ATM equipment and signage with their current equivalents - also installing a Panasonic CCTV camera.

HSBC occupies a three-storey building in Crewe town centre - close to other banks with ATMS (Crewe Nub News).

It is located next door to Nationwide, opposite NatWest and on the same street as Barclays.

HSBC says the layout and scale of the building will not be affected by this application.

A design and access statement read: "The appearance of the property will not be negatively affected by this application as the works are minimal.

The last date for submitting comments on is Tuesday 7 February (Cheshire East Planning).

"However, there is a slight change to the appearance of the device (ATM) itself."

The last date for submitting comments is Tuesday 7 February with a target decision date of Wednesday 8 March.
