TWO teenagers from Crewe charged with offences of violence after a Nantwich street "altercation" are due to appear at Chester Crown Court on September 7.

Kian Biddle, 18, of Clover Croft Place, Crewe and a 17-year-old boy, also from Crewe, appeared at Warrington Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Both face charges of Section 18 assault by joint enterprise, possession of an offensive weapon and affray. Biddle is also charged with criminal damage while the 17-year-old is charged with possession of a class A drug.

The charges follow an incident in Beam Street in Nantwich in the early hours of last Saturday (August 8) after which two teenagers, one from Sandbach, the other from Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent needed treatment at Leighton Hospital for their injuries.

At the Warrington hearing Biddle was released on conditional bail while the 17-year-old was remanded into youth detention accommodation with both set to reappear at Chester Crown Court on Monday, September 7
