A teenager from Crewe has been arrested after he was found carrying a "large knife," in a public place within the town.

On Monday 26 February, Cheshire Police received reports of an "agitated" male causing issues on Beswick Drive.

In the early hours, officers arrived the scene, locating an 18-year-old in possession of a large blade.

The male teenager remains in police custody, with the weapon seized by officers (Cheshire Police).

The teenager, from Crewe, was arrested for possession of a bladed article in a public place.

He currently remains in police custody, with the weapon seized by officers.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "A male was been arrested in the early hours of Monday 26 February, after a knife was located.

"Response Patrols attended a report of an agitated male causing issues in the area of Beswick Drive this morning.

"He was located and detained by patrols, and a large knife was found and seized.

A male teenager, 18, from Crewe, was arrested for possession of a bladed article in a public place (Cheshire Police).

"The male, 18, from Crewe, has been arrested for possession of a bladed article in a public place. He remains in police custody."
