A CREWE sweet shop is on the move with its owner making some plans for a tasty opening day.

Truly Scrumtious has moved lock, stock and barrel from premises in High Street to a new base in Hightown.

Owner Adel Berry launched her business during lockdown to offer those hankering after a nostalgic visit to a traditional sweet shop, complete with pick n' mix and specialities such as sugar dummies, cherry lips, retro bubble gums and vampire teeth.

She has been busy fitting out the new outlet at 24 Hightown ready for opening on Saturday (September 4), which will be celebrated with a children's colouring competition, raffles and some special offers.

Adel says the colouring competition winner will get a £5 sweet bomb every month for three months with and their winning picture will be framed in the shop.

There is also free candyfloss with every purchase over £2, while the raffle prize is a sweet hamper with a bottle of prosecco (over 18s).

Check out the shop's Facebook page here as Adel regularly updates with the vast array of sweets she stocks.
