Shop completes redevelopment at site of forgotten Crewe cinema building
A Crewe international shop has completed an exterior redevelopment, located at one of the town's forgotten cinema buildings.
Super 4U Market, on the corner of Edleston Road and Electricity Street, completed works to the front of the building this August, a project which took several months.
Exterior works include a new illuminated sign, as well as new windows and cladding.
Open 8am until 8pm, seven days a week, the business sells a variety of foods countries across the world.
Super 4U Market was once the home of Crewe Palace Cinema, which closed in 1959.
The cinema, which was operated by P&O Traders, once held 850 people, attracting visitors from across South Cheshire and further afield.
After closing, the Edleston Road building has since been a snooker club, casino, coffee bar and martial arts club.
It has also been a furniture warehouse, hairdressing salon, car salesroom, carpet shop and C&C supermarket (1964 to 1980).
