Crewe set to dazzle with entertainment-packed 2025 Christmas Lights Switch-On

Crewe Town Council has announced its packed programme of free activities on offer at the Crewe Christmas Lights Switch-On event on Saturday 29 November.

Running from 2pm until 7pm, families can browse the Crewe town centre festive Market for presents and treats, as well as live performances and winter-themed walkabout acts.

Little ones can also send letters to Father Christmas at Crewe Market Hall and enjoy mini funfair rides on Market Square.

The Cat Radio will compere live music, dance and theatre performances on the Memorial Square Main Stage across the five-hour period.

Additional entertainment will take place on Lyceum Square, with live performances and fun family activities from local community groups.

Christmas switch-on attendees will be able to explore Crewe's Christmas Market along Market Street, Earle Street and Market Square.

The magical Christmas community Lantern Parade returns this year and will march from the Market Sheds at Lyceum Square to Memorial Square in time for the countdown to the Lights Switch On at the main stage.

Father Christmas and Crewe Lyceum's 'Jack and The Beanstalk' pantomime cast stars, including TV and West End star, Jennifer Ellison and hilarious duo, Malcolm Lord and Ste Johnston, are set to switch on the lights at 7pm.

A Crewe Town Council spokesperson told Nub News: "Christmas is a special time of year and we are excited to see our community come together for free and fun activities that everyone can enjoy.
