A therapeutic special school in Crewe has received another 'Outstanding' report from Ofsted, celebrating the result at a 'Great Get Together' event.

Adelaide School, which provides education for pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, from year 5 to 13, was judged by Ofsted this May.

The school, part of the Manor Hall Academy Trust, was judged to be 'Outstanding' in its previous Ofsted report in 2018.

Adelaide School, which provides education for pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, from year 5 to 13, was judged by Ofsted this May (Adeleide School).

Ofsted said "pupils thrive at this school," with inspectors saying: "the high quality of care they receive, supports them to overcome many of the barriers that have prevented them from succeeding in the past."

Headteacher, Sarah Barlow, told Nub News: "It has been great to celebrate the judgement with the whole of the school community.

"Pupils, parents and staff all work as a team at Adelaide, which is what ensures pupils make the most effective holistic progress."

Adelaide School has a proud tradition of supporting the 'Great Get Together', an annual community event in honour of late MP, Jo Cox.

The Adelaide Street school looks forward to August, when pupils will receive their GCSE results.

Adelaide School also recently achieved the 'Leading Parent Partnership' award and the 'Quality in Careers Standard Award' (Adelaide School).

Ofsted commented on this, saying: "the school has the highest aspirations for pupils' achievements."

A parent said: "The education the school provides and the activities they do with the children to develop their knowledge and skills is amazing. Adelaide has become a huge part of our family."
