A Crewe high school has been recognised among the top 10 per cent of schools nationally for improving attendance.
Ruskin Community High School has also been ranked in the top 25 per cent of schools across the country for its overall attendance during the last academic year.
The recognition comes as the school celebrates improvements in getting pupils into the classroom, alongside some of its strongest GCSE results.
Ruskin students achieved some of the strongest results across Cheshire East secondary schools, with 52 per cent gaining grades 9-5 in both English and maths, above the national average.
A further 68 per cent achieved grade 4 or above in both subjects, while more than a quarter of students secured grades 7-9 in English.
Headteacher, Dean Postlethwaite, told Nub News: "These results are a true team effort.
"I would like to extend my gratitude to our talented teaching and support staff, whose unwavering commitment and tailored guidance made this possible.
"We also thank our parents and carers for their vital partnership.
"We congratulate all our students on their well-deserved success and wish them the absolute best as they take their next steps into further education, university, and future careers."
The Crewe school is continuing to welcome applications from current Year 6 pupils looking to join in September 2027.
The deadline to apply for a secondary school place is October 31, with applications made through the Cheshire East Council website.
