CURSHAWS hit double figures again as they kept up their 100 per cent record in the CREWE AND DISTRICT LEAGUE.

Sandbach Town were put to the sword although they did manage to breach the visiting defence three times.

Ryan Simmons netted five times for the leaders as they registered a 15-3 success with Sam Critchley also on form with four goals while Cameron Mitchell grabbed a hat-trick.

Darren Bailey, Jordan Bickerton and Gary Cardno were also on the scoresheet.

Sandbach Town scorers were Mike Buckley, Jonathan Camey and Ashley Morrey.

Mary Dendy and Crewe Town Jaguars were separated by the finest of margins with a solitary goal scored by Nathan Schofield for the Jaguars who having won four of their five games are within touching distance of Curshaws.

In the Crewe FA Junior Shield, Elworth Park Rangers booked their place in the next round with a 4-1 win over Crewe Town Reserves.

  • CREWE FC saw their trip to Knutsford in the CHESHIRE LEAGUE called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

But Crewe FC Reserves were in action at the Cumberland Arena where they shared eight goals with Newton Athletic Reserves. Callum Hood netted twice and Ryan Walker and William Pirrie also scored for the home side in the 4-4 draw.
