Crewe pub gets 'packed out' following launch of Sunday roasts and food menu

A community pub on the edge of Crewe town centre is enjoying the success of its new food menu, getting "packed out" for Sunday roasts.

The Duke of Bridgewater, Wistaston Road, operated by Ant and Hazel Sherratt, started serving food to customers this April.

Located just a short walk from Crewe town centre, the Admiral Taverns venue offers a "traditional" menu, including pies, sandwiches, paninis, burgers and cottage pie.

The Duke of Bridgewater serves Sunday roasts, pie and mash, burgers, cottage pies and has a Wednesday curry night (Ryan Parker).

The Duke of Bridgewater has a Wednesday curry night, also offering a menu specifically for children.

Ant Nub News: "We recently launched a new food menu, which has been really popular.

"Our Sunday roasts, which are made fresh, get us totally packed out. We have families flooding in for it.

"Another popular item is our pie, mash, chips and peas, with four different pies available.

"There aren't many places in Crewe, especially around the town centre, where you can get a good Sunday roast anymore and there is a lot of demand for it.

The Duke of Bridgewater serves food from 12pm to 8pm, seven days per week (Nub News).

"We serve food from 12pm to 8pm, Monday to Sunday, and are delighted with how our menu has been received."

This February, the pub received a five-star food hygiene rating, much to the delight of the owners.

Ant said: "Our menu is simple, but all of our food is tasty. Our prices are really competitive too, there can't be many other places cheaper than us.

"All of our feedback so far has been really positive. When you come here for food, I can guarantee you will leave happy.

This February, The Duke of Bridgewater received a five-star food hygiene rating (The Duke of Bridgewater).

"The Duke of Bridgewater has often been a party pub and now we feel it is much more family-orientated.

"If you are thinking of trying somewhere new for food, especially a Sunday roast, then come and give us a try."

The Duke of Bridgewater is open 12pm to 11:30pm (Monday to Thursday) 12pm to 1:30am (Friday and Saturday) and 12pm to 10:30pm (Sunday).
