Crewe primary school celebrates 'outstanding' denominational inspection result
A proud Crewe primary school has celebrated its 'outstanding' denominational inspection result - conducted by the inspectorate for the Diocese of Shrewsbury.
St. Mary's Catholic Primary school and Nursery, Dane Bank Avenue, received an outstanding judgement in its March denominational Inspection.
The inspection, conducted by the Catholic Schools Inspectorate for the Diocese of Shrewsbury, evaluated the school's Catholic life, collective worship and religious education provision.
St. Mary's was awarded the highest rating possible, reflecting the school's strong commitment to its Catholic ethos and high quality of education and pastoral care.
The report praised the Crewe school's leadership for ensuring Catholic values underpin every aspect of school life.
It also commended the quality of teaching and learning and the positive learning environment as well as the school's 'humbling welcome'.
Head Teacher, Mrs Cathryn Wright, expressed her delight at the inspection report.
Mrs Wright told Nub News: "We are incredibly proud to have received this outstanding judgement, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved with St. Mary's.
"Our school is a vibrant, diverse and inclusive community, where Catholic faith is at the heart of everything we do. We are thrilled this has been recognised"
St Mary's' school governors also welcomed the 'outstanding' report.
Chair of Governors, Mr James Duncan, added: "We are delighted with this result, which confirms that St. Mary's is an outstanding Catholic school.
"We are particularly proud of the way the school promotes the school mission statement and core values.
"We will continue to work hard to ensure St. Mary's remains a beacon of Catholic education in our local community"
St Mary's says the outstanding inspection result is due to the dedication and commitment of everyone at the Catholic primary school.
