Post Office has officially reopened a branch in Crewe town centre, inside the former Liberty Sports and Leisure shop vacant for over a decade.
The new Post Office launched at Oso Go Store, Victoria Centre, at 1:30pm on Tuesday 9 April.
Crewe Post Office, which has two counters, currently employs three staff and is located inside a small convenience store.
Branch manager, Lisa Leek, told Nub News: "We are excited to open a new Post Office in Crewe as the town centre hasn't had one for over 12 months.
"We are hoping to get the footfall in and meet new customers who will hopefully come back time and time again.
"This is predominantly a Post Office with shop items such as travel, baby, homeware, cleaning, pet toys, and stationery with food and drink items to come very soon.
"We are open for eight and a half hours, six days per week, employing three staff.
"I have worked at a number of Post Offices in Stoke, previously being a sub-manager at Fenton.
"The opportunity came to be a full manager here which is a step up and am excited about bringing a Post Office back to the central area of Crewe."
Crewe town centre had been without a Post Office since its facility closed down inside WHSmith, Victoria Shopping Centre, on Thursday 30 March, 2023.
This closure was always meant to be temporary, with a Post Office back open again.
The Oso Go Store is open, but will be fully stocked in the coming days, with front signage up by next week.
Crewe Post Office is open from 9:30am until 5:30pm (Monday to Saturday).
