A Crewe mum-of-four has revived her huge Halloween garden display for 2024, with a famous Tiktoker set to come down to meet visitors on All Hallows' Eve.

Miss Maria Connell, 42, of Merlin Way, first set-up her spooky display in 2022, attracting visitors from across Cheshire.

This year's display, which started at the beginning of October, runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm every night in the build-up to Halloween.

On Thursday 31 October, Tiktoker, Ricky Coughlan, will come down to meet and greet visitors, as well as doing jump scares.

Maria believes 2024's display is a huge improvement on two years prior, with the eerie exhibit in aid of Cancer Research UK., a disease she has fought off twice.

The paranormal enthusiast told Nub News: "Everything in front of my house is covered in Halloween decorations, including our tree.

"The entire display is done on an app and the music, which I have edited goes with it all. Everything has been done properly this time.

"Being a paranormal investigator this display is based on Island of the Dolls and hauntings. There are 80 dolls in the tree alone.

"On Halloween, I have famous Tiktoker, Ricky Coughlan, coming down for a meet and greet.

"This year's display is being done in aid of Cancer Research and we have had quite a few donations already which is amazing.

"The lights will go on at 6.30pm, with Ricky coming down from around 7pm to do jump scares and more.

"The display will stay on longer than 8.30pm on that day. We have new smoke machines and the likes. It has been so much fun to set-up."

Two years ago, Maria was inspired to put a smile on people's faces, cheering up local children and their families in the midst of difficult times.

This year, the passionate Crewe mum wants to expand the display's popularity, raising a "significant" amount of money towards the leading independent cancer charity.

Maria said: "With Ricky living in the Manchester area and lots of people wanting to meet him, we expect people from that area to be coming down to Crewe.

"The idea of him coming down is to make our event even more popular and increase the amount of donations.

"2024's event is going to bigger and bigger than 2022's, it will be amazing, my stomach is doing turntables already. We can't wait to see everyone.

"My neighbours, bless them, are on board again and parking their cars down the road as they know how busy it is going to be.

"To give money to Cancer Research, you can donate via my Just Giving page or by putting cash into our donation buckets outside the house.

"Ricky will also be supporting with the fundraising, raising through Tiktok.

"There are hundreds of decorations to enjoy, with us being totally wireless this time. We have made this event big to attract kids, families and the likes.

"We have had two years to think about what we were doing to good. I am really chuffed with it."

Maria's Halloween display is turned on at 6.30pm every night and runs until 8.30pm. On Halloween, the display will run for longer.
