Missing boy located following midnight police helicopter incident in Crewe

A police helicopter circled over Crewe in the middle of night to help locate a missing teenage boy, who has now been found "safe and well."

On Saturday 19 October, Cheshire Police received reports of a missing 13-year-old boy in Coppenhall.

At 7.45pm, officers began their search for the teenager, knocking on doors in attempt to locate him.

Following a wide search, the boy was located in the Bradfield Road area around 12.10am on Sunday 20 October (Ryan Parker).

Around midnight, the police helicopter was deployed to join the search, hovering over Coppenhall and Leighton.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 7.45pm on Saturday 19 October police were called to reports of a missing 13-year-old boy in Crewe.

Around midnight, the police helicopter was deployed to join the search, hovering over Coppenhall and Leighton (Cheshire Police).

"Officers attended, supported by the police helicopter.

"Following a search of the local area, the boy was located safe and well at around 12.10am on Sunday 20 October, in the Bradfield Road area.
