Crewe MP adds to row with anti-brexit campaigner: 'he would be better off getting a job'
Crewe and Nantwich MP Dr Kieran Mullan has been involved in a spat on camera with anti-brexit campaigner Steve Bray in London - he has since added further fuel to the fire.
Dr Mullan has said that he has no regrets over the dispute with Steve Bray.
The Crewe MP continued the argument off the streets, hitting back at the activist on Twitter and attracted the attention of thousands.
Today (April 21), Dr Mullan told Nub News: "Steve Bray is rude and obnoxious and shouldn't chase people up and down the street shouting abuse at them.
"He would be better off getting a job."
Steve Bray is commonly known as 'stop Brexit man.' He was often heard shouting anti-brexit statements during TV broadcasts from Westminister during the 2016 EU referendum.
Mr Bray from Port Talbot, Wales, is a supporter of the Liberal Democrats party.
Dr Mullan was filmed on Mr Bray's Twitter account @snb19692, telling the activist to "get a job" 22 times - yesterday (20 April).
The Crewe MP added: "The decision on Brexit has been made again and again by the British people. Shouting about it on a megaphone day in day out isn't going to change that."
Mr Bray was first seen confronting Dr Mullan and referring to his leader Boris Johnson as a "lying pig of a prime minister".
Dr Mullan, clearly angered, then confronted Mr Bray and responded with "get a job" four times. He repeatedly said this to Mr Bray throughout the argument.
Mr Bray replied by saying "I pay your wages". Dr Mullan hit back with "you have to be a taxpayer to do that" and Mr Bray responded "I am a taxpayer you muppet".
The Welsh activist told Dr Mullan he was self-employed, Dr Mullan responded, "who pays you?"
Mr Bray went on to tell the 37-year-old Crewe MP, "you're an absolute disgrace".
He furiously said to Dr Mullan "where's your defence for that lying pig of a prime minister".

The 52-year-old went on to call the MP a "liar", "cheat", "charlatan", and a "fraudster". Mr Bray told Dr Mullan to take this clear message to "the pig of a prime minster".
Mr Bray was incensed by Boris Johnson's statement to the House of Commons a day earlier on April 19.
Mr Johnson was fined by The Metropolitan Police, following a number of illegal lockdown parties.
The prime minister apologised for his actions, for what he called a 'mistake.'
Mr Bray had posted on Twitter with the video of the argument, saying: "This Tory MP not worthy of a name from me. Nasty piece of work.
"Get a job, who pays you, repeated over and over. Yes I did get angry. This one a guttersnipe."
Crewe West Labour Councillor, Connor Naismith contacted Crewe Nub News regarding the incident.
The 30-year-old told Nub News: "The way Kieran Mullan responds in this video is disappointing and is a stark contrast to the image he likes to present to constituents.
"Of course we should expect everyone to engage with MPs in an appropriate manner. Equally, our MPs hold an important position in public life and are paid a great deal to do so."
"Repeatedly shouting 'get a job' at a person questioning them about an important issue his constituents are concerned about falls well below the standard Crewe and Nantwich residents expect."
