A CREWE charity is staging a raffle to select four people to join an epic steam train experience to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The Railway Benefit Fund's excursion on board the Royal Charter from Crewe to Windsor takes place on June 3 with the iconic Britannia 70000 hauling traditional carriages on a journey to be remembered.

Now the charity has put a Pullman Dining table for four up for grabs in a raffle, which will be drawn on April 27.

It says that the lucky winner and their three guests "will be treated like royalty themselves".

"Travelling from Crewe to Windsor and back you, will enjoy opulent dining in the beautifully restored wood panelled carriages," said a RBF spokesperson.

"The afternoon will be spent at leisure in Windsor soaking up the atmosphere of this historic occasion, before The Royal Charter returns to Crewe by late evening."

The charity charter is provided by Saphos Trains (Locomotive Services Limited) and the raffle prize has been donated by The Universal Improvement Company.

Raffle tickets cost £10 and available to purchase online via https://go.eventgroovefundraising.com/royalcharter/Campaign/Details

The trip is not advised for young children.,

The Railway Benefit Fund is dedicated to supporting current, retired and former railway employees and their families through tough times. It is based in offices on Nantwich Road in Crewe.
