Crewe Alexandra's manager has admitted his side are 'drawing too many games' - following another tie in EFL League Two.

The Railwaymen drew 1-1 at AFC Wimbledon last night (October 25) - after Rio Adebisi equalised in the 62nd minute.

This was Crewe's seventh draw in the past 13 matches - winning just once.

The Match at Plough Lane:

Rio Adebisi equalised for Crewe in the 62nd minute - assisted by Kelvin Mellor (Kevin Warburton).

Crewe found themselves 1-0 down in first half stoppage time when they failed to deal with a Dons corner.

Arthur Okonkwo produced a smart stop to deny Harry Pell's header but the ball fell to Ayoub Asall who smashed the bell over the line.

The Alex responded well in the second half - deservedly equalising 17 minutes in.

Kelvin Mellor headed a Tariq Uwakwewe cross back towards goal - with Adebisi heading past helpless goalkeeper Nik Tzanev.

Arthur Okonkwo followed up his penalty save againast Doncaster Rovers by saving from the spot at AFC Wimbledon (Kevin Warburton).

This fightback seemed short-lived when Zak Williams conceded a penalty for a foul on Ethan Chislett in the 73rd minute.

Okonkwo then made a super stop to deny Dons forward Josh Davison - making it two penalty saves in two matches.

Crewe fought for three points until the very end.

In the 89th minute, substitute Lachlan Brook almost won it for the Railwaymen with an effort just over the bar.

Crewe Alexandra manager, Alex Morris, was pleased with Crewe's fightback - but understood the draws have to be converted to wins.

Morris told Crewe Alexandra's website: "We responded in the second half.

"Under normal circumstances coming down on a Tuesday night, under the lights, having been behind and then getting a draw is usually something you're happy with.

"But, we're still drawing too many games and it's frustrating for us and the supporters."

Crewe Alexandra manager, Alex Morris, was pleased with Crewe's fightback - but understood the draws have to be converted to wins (Kevin Warburton).

Crewe's last win came against Crawley Town (1-0) on 17 September.

Since then, the Railwaymen have drawn four matches and lost three.

Morris added: "With the group that won promotion a few years ago, there were so many moments in the two, three years prior to that like today.

"There were soft goals and consistency fluctuating from one half to the next let alone one game to the next.

This was Crewe's seventh draw in the past 13 matches - winning just once (Kevin Warburton).

"We're working towards where we want to be.

"We need some wins along the way to try and put the icing on the cake to give us the lift that we are heading in the right direction."

NEXT UP: Crewe Alexandra travel to Barrow AFC's Holker Street stadium on Saturday (October 29).
