Air ambulance lands in local park after bus collides with boy near Crewe

An air ambulance landed in a local field following a serious collision between a boy and a bus - just five miles from Crewe.

The incident at The Commons, Sandbach, happened at approximately 3pm on Tuesday (October 25).

Crowds gathered as an air ambulance landed at Sandbach park - later taking off without the casualty.

Cheshire Constabulary arrived at the incident and assisted with North West Ambulance Service.

The boy was taken to hospital in an ambulance. His injuries currently remain unknown.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "At around 3pm today (October 25th), police were called to reports of a collision on The Commons in Sandbach.

"Officers attended and found the collision had been between a boy and a bus.

"The boy has since been taken to hospital in an ambulance. The extent of his injuries remain unknown at this time.
