Crewe man to appear in court - charged with stealing £200 worth of fuel
A Crewe man is set to appear in court later this month - after being charged with stealing an estimated £200 worth of fuel from a vehicle.
Mark Watson, 33, of Peter Place was arrested and subsequently charged with theft from a motor vehicle.
The charges relate to the theft of diesel from a vehicle on Middlewich Road, Leighton on 1 August.
It is estimated the value of the stolen diesel was £200.
Watson has since been bailed. He will appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 22 September.
The man was arrested and charged by Crewe Police officers PC Daley & PC Sadir.
A 46-year-old man has also been summoned to appear in court - joining Watson at Crewe Magistrates' on the same date.
This month (September 5), Crewe Police announced the news on social media.
A statement read: "Good News Story. PC Daley & PC Sadir have arrested and charged a male for a fuel theft (diesel) to the value of around £200.
"This took place in the Leighton area. The offender will be attending court where they will be deciding the consequences for his actions.
"Well done PC Daley & PC Sadir for your hard work and dedication on this. Stay safe."
