Crewe man arrested after barging into partner's house and assaulting her

A Crewe man has been arrested he allegedly "barged" into his partner's house, before assaulting her and another person at the same location.

On Monday 16 October, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on the Sherborne Estate.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman who had suffered an injury to her face and was bleeding.

An allegation was made to police a man had forced entry into his partner's house, before striking her in the face and assaulting another person at the address.

The man is also alleged to have assaulted the woman previously, causing bruising on her arms.

Response officers located the man, who was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his partner and another individual.

An investigation currently underway into the incident.

The woman has been offered safeguarding support, as well as referrals to domestic violence agencies.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "A male from Crewe has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting his partner. 

"On Monday 16 October, an allegation was made that a male attended his partner's address and barged into her house.

"He then struck her in the face causing bleeding. He also assaulted another person at the same location. 

"The male is also alleged to have assaulted her previously causing bruising to her arms.

"He was located by response officers and arrested on suspicion of the assaults.

The woman has been offered safeguarding support, as well as referrals to domestic violence agencies (Cheshire Police).

"The investigation is continuing as evidence is being compiled by officers. 

"The female has been offered safeguarding by attending response officers. Referrals to domestic violence agencies were completed."
