Cheshire Police have charged a Crewe man with weapons possession offences in the town.

Jordan Hamlett was arrested in the West Street area, around 7.45pm on Tuesday 2 June.

The 28-year-old, of Smith Grove, has since been charged with possession of a knife in a public place.

Hamlett has been remanded in custody to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court on Thursday 4 June.

The charges follow a stop and search conducted in the West Street area of Crewe on 2 June.
