A COVID vaccination centre at a Crewe motorbike business has jabbed its last patient.
Caleb Barrow was the last person to receive a Covid-19 vaccination on a busy last day of operations at Crewe Honda Centre.
NHS staff based at the centre carried over 500 jabs last Thursday (March 31).
A large section of the motorbike showroom at the West Street premises have been turned over for use as a vaccination centre since January last year.
Over 100,000 jabs have been administered to the people of Crewe and beyond.
The premises, which have been in the Morris family for 102 years, were undergoing renovations when Roger Morris, owner of Crewe Honda Centre, offered the showroom to Raj Patel of Hollowood Chemists.
The site was approved by NHS England and had a capacity of 4,000 jabs a week.
Mr Morris declined to take any rental payments for his site as a gesture to help in the fight against the pandemic.
In May last year, Roger and Raj teamed up again to open a second Covid vaccination centre at the Acacia Suite in the Masonic Hall at Willaston.
This vaccination centre also jabbed its last patient on March 31.
Local vaccinations are continuing at West Street pharmacy (https://hollowoodchemists.com/west-street-pharmacy) opposite Crewe Honda Centre.
Mr Morris said: "It was a pleasure to help the local people and community and offer the space for a vaccination centre. I never imagined for one moment how successful it would be.
"It has been great to be involved and I wouldn't hesitate to do the same again. I have met many wonderful people who have made it all worthwhile.
"However, the time has now come to get back to normal and now I must carry on with the renovations and get the showroom full of Honda Motorcycles again."
