A Crewe homeless man has been jailed for six weeks and ordered to pay compensation - after stealing from a convenience store three times.

Daniel Quinlan, 38, of no fixed address, but of Crewe, was sentenced at Chester Magistrates' Court on Friday 17 February.

The Crewe man pleaded guilty to three thefts from a Co-op store between Friday 10 February and Wednesday 15 February.

Quinlan was jailed for six weeks and ordered to pay £100 in compensation for the thefts.
