One fire engine from Crewe rescued a person who had fallen into a silo at a Cheshire industrial site - handing them into the care of paramedics.

The accident on Cledford Lane, Middlewich, happened at 2:07 pm on Wednesday 22 March.

Firefighters rescued the individual and passed them into the care of North West Ambulance Service paramedics.

The person was taken to hospital following the incident.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "A person had fallen into a silo at an industrial premises in Middlewich.

"Firefighters removed the individual from the silo and they were passed on to the care of paramedics."
