A group of Crewe footballers taking part in a weekly local FA-accredited football-based weight loss programme for men have turned their attention back towards the kitchen, as a way of helping a local charity.
The group, who are all participants in the MAN v FAT Crewe club, responded to a post on a local community Facebook page from Chance Changing Lives.
This charity helps the homeless and most vulnerable people in Crewe and Cheshire as a whole, and with the group deciding they wanted to get involved.

Coach of the MAN v FAT Crewe club, Aaron Waywell, said: "Being part of MAN v FAT Crewe, with more than 90 members, we have a bit of a platform.
"That means not only doing the best to help each other on our weight loss journeys, but also to do some good in the community in which we live."
Five of the MAN v FAT team volunteered for a recent Saturday session with Chance Changing Lives, two of them helping in the kitchen and three helping to serve visitors.
In all, 44 visitors came through the doors on the day that the men volunteered.
Every Saturday, Chance Changing Lives opens its doors at Jubilee House, St. Paul's Street, to provide a hot and healthy meal to homeless and disadvantaged people in Crewe.
Ot offers free access to NHS nurse practitioner appointments, an optician, podiatry and a listening ear.
Aaron said: "The charity is an amazing force for good. It provides so much more than just a hot meal for people struggling mentally and physically.

"They provide warm clothes, drinks, healthcare, toiletries and other essentials. We just had to get involved and we hope others will want to too.
"Charity has always been a big part of what we do at MAN v FAT, whether that is staging football matches to raise money for a good cause, or being hands-on as in this case.
"I am very lucky. I don't have to worry about where my next meal is coming from, but I know people who have not been so fortunate.
"We have a platform and a responsibility to help where we can.
"Our lads have changed their lives through weight loss, now we want to use our platform to help others change theirs."
At MAN v FAT Football sessions, players are weighed, before battling it out on the pitch where the results from matches combine with a player's individual weight loss throughout a week, to contribute to an overall league table.
The programme isn't just about losing weigh, with the men taking part also discovering its mental health benefits, while creating new friendships.

MAN v FAT players also receive off-the-pitch support including healthy meal recipe ideas and tips on general fitness.
The MAN v FAT Crewe club meets every Monday evening from 8pm to 10pm at the College House Campus, Crewe Green Road.
