Crewe shop hit with zero-star food hygiene rating AGAIN

A Crewe convenience store has been hit with a zero-star food hygiene rating again, according to a recent Food Standard Agency (FSA) report.
The FSA Food Hygiene Rating Scheme is aimed at helping people choose where to eat out or shop for food.
This scheme is in partnership with local authorities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

It gives businesses a rating from 0 to 5 - displayed at their premises and online.
A zero-star hygiene rating means 'urgent improvement is required' for the business (FSA).
All information was taken from the Food Standard Agency website as of Friday 27 June
- Manor Way Convenience Store/Premier, 99 Manor Way (Shop) - Zero Star - (May 29, 2025).

A food safety officer from Cheshire East Council inspected the Crewe shop to check it was following food hygiene law and ensuring the food sold was safe to eat.
At all inspections, the officer checked the following three elements:
- Hygienic food handling - urgent improvement necessary (zero-star)
- Cleanliness and condition of facilities and building – improvement necessary (two-star)
- Management of food safety - urgent improvement necessary (zero-star)
Manor Way Convenience Store/Premier was rated zero-star based on these checks again, after being handed the rating already in November 2023.
