This closure comes after the leading UK retailer relocated to a larger, 3,097 sq. ft, Grand Junction Retail Park store on Thursday 10 August.

All Crewe town centre team members have moved across to the new store, adjacent to PureGym, along with three new permanent members of staff.

In August, a spokesperson for The Works told Nub News: "We love being a part of the Crewe community and are excited to be moving to a larger store at the Grand Junction Retail Park.

"This is a fantastic location for The Works just half a mile from the town centre and will provide our customers with easy access facilities such as free parking.

"From our new store we'll continue to provide customers with the same excellent value, as well as a much bigger range of products for reading, learning, creating and playing.

"We can't wait to welcome both new and existing customers from Crewe and the surrounding areas through the doors of our newest store this summer."

Across its 526 UK and Ireland stores and online shop, the retailer provides customers with products across its four zones of books, arts, crafts and hobbies, stationery and toys and games.

At its new Crewe store, customers will have access to more products. including: Peppa Pig, Harry Potter and books by leading authors such as Julia Donaldson.
