By Gwyn Griffiths 27th Aug 2021

CREWE CC secured a trio of successes over the weekend.

Chris Barratt's four-wicket haul helped the club's 1st XI to a five-wicket win over Audley 2nd XI.

The visitors were left regretting their decision to bat and were skittled for just 91 at the Vagrants with Barratt (4-19) on top form.

Lew Bacon was unbeaten on 32 as Crewe secured the runs in the 33rd over (92-5) to earn a 15-point success which leaves them in sixth spot in NSSC Division Three.

Crewe 2nd XI won by four wickets at Stafford 4ths after restricting the hosts to 161-4 from their 40 overs.

Paul Allman with an unbeaten 58 helped steer Crewe to victory with two overs to spare (165-6) with support from Calum Meakin (52) and Tom Harding (31).

Lew Bacon was impressive on 3rd XI duty on Sunday, finishing with figures of 4-5 and top scoring with 59 as Moddershall and Oulton were beaten in a Wildblood Cup fixture.
