A CREWE community choir has been busy spreading Christmas cheer at care homes and a crafts and antiques centre.

TheFunkyChoir performed twice at Dagfields Crafts and Antiques near Nantwich, while members of the faith-based ensemble, who rehearse at Marshfield Bank Community Centre in West Street, have also visited Willowmere care home in Middlewich and Hazelmere in Winsford in recent weeks.

There they sang a range of festive favourites in their own inimitable uplifting style to appreciative audiences, including 'White Christmas', 'Merry Christmas Everyone', 'It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas', 'Do They Know It's Christmas?', and 'When a Child Is Born'.

TheFunkyChoir formed in 2010 and offer a funky and soulful interpretation to their concert music.

They are looking for new members and no previous singing or musical experience is required.

The choir meet every Thursday evening (7.45pm to 9.45pm).

For further information visit the choir's Facebook page here.
