Crewe Alexandra's last-minute January deadline day signing is 'delighted' to join the club - following a loan move from League One.
Sean Robertson signed for Crewe from Forest Green Rovers at around 11:30pm on Tuesday (January 31) - joining until the end of the season.
The attacking right-back joined the Alex soon after homegrown midfielder, Oliver Finney, departed to Hartlepool United on a permanent deal.
Robertson has made three League One appearances for Forest Green this season.
The 21-year-old signed for Rovers last summer in a free permanent switch from Crystal Palace.
Robertson told Crewe Alexandra's website: "I'm delighted to be here, it's a great club to be at, and I'm ready to get going.
"When I was younger, I saw that a lot of Crewe boys would come through, and heard that they like to promote youth.
"So, when I heard about Crewe's interest in me, I was excited and just wanted to get here straight away.
Robertson can play as a wing-back, a winger, or as part of a front three.
The former Premier League U21 player is best known for his versatility and pace.
Robertson said: "I'm direct, I like to run with the ball and get crosses in the box.
"I'm versatile and can play in a few different positions.
"I've learned a lot at Forest Green and I'm keen to carry that on.
"This is 100% the right time for me – I wasn't getting enough game-time unfortunately, so coming here is a great opportunity.
"I'm impressed with the facilities here, and that will enable me to get my head down and work hard."
Crewe Alexandra's fifth January signing is raring to go as Lee Bell prepares his team to host Grimsby Town on Saturday (February 4).
