Robertson has made three League One appearances for Forest Green this season.

The 21-year-old signed for Rovers last summer in a free permanent switch from Crystal Palace.

Robertson told Crewe Alexandra's website: "I'm delighted to be here, it's a great club to be at, and I'm ready to get going.

"When I was younger, I saw that a lot of Crewe boys would come through, and heard that they like to promote youth.

Sean Robertson said he was excited to hear of Crewe's interest and wanted to get here straight away (Kevin Warburton).

"This is 100% the right time for me – I wasn't getting enough game-time unfortunately, so coming here is a great opportunity.

"I'm impressed with the facilities here, and that will enable me to get my head down and work hard."
