Crewe Alex to host Birmingham and Stoke City in 2026/27 pre-season

Crewe Alexandra will host Birmingham and Stoke City in confirmed 2026/27 pre-season friendlies announced by the club.
The Railwaymen, who returned to training on June 29, will take on The Blues on Saturday 25 July (3pm), a week after playing The Potters on Saturday 18 July (3pm).
There are also a handful of first-team away friendlies, which started at Witton Albion on Saturday 11 July.
Prescot Cables will be the venue on Tuesday 14 July (7.45pm), while Telford will play hosts on Tuesday 21 July (7.45pm).
A Crewe Alexandra XI will then face Newcastle Town on Tuesday 28 July (7.30pm).
Finally, The Alex will travel to Cheshire rivals Chester FC on Saturday 1 August (3pm).
Lee Bell's side will start the 2026/27 season by taking on Accrington Stanley in a Carabao Cup Round One fixture at Mornflake Stadium on Saturday 8 August (3pm).
Crewe's EFL League Two campaign kicks off a week later on Saturday 15 August at Crawley Town (3pm).
