CREWE season ticket holders are to be placed in a ballot if the home clash with MK Dons gets the green light as a 'pilot' game.
Moves to usher fans back into games have seen 10 EFL fixtures given permission to let 1,000 spectators in - including the Alex's trip to Hull City on Saturday - as part of a programme which could lead to a larger readmission of supporters next month.
Crewe have applied for their visit from MK on Saturday, September 26 to be included as a pilot, but with over 2,000 season tickets sold to date will need to allocate the limited number of seats by ballot.
The club says fans will be notified by September 23 if they have been successful in the ballot, provided the application for a pilot fixture is approved.
A spokesman said: "Season ticket holders will automatically be entered into the random ballot. If you are unable to attend the fixture, and would like to opt out of the ballot please email us."
Fans have been sent out socially distanced season tickets today which include the social bubbles that supporters have nominated so they can sit near relatives and close friends.
The club stresses that due to the restrictions on capacity the seats cannot be exchanged or moved.
