Crewe Alexandra Football Club has applied to provide alcohol for large away followings in the North Stand of the stadium, following a new premises license submission.

On Friday 7 July, Crewe Alex, Gresty Road, applied for a full variation of its premises license to Cheshire East Council.

The football club plans to include the sale of alcohol to away fans, within the North Stand of its stadium.

Crewe wants to make more standing space within the Whitby Morrison Ice Cream Van Stand, as well as installing a new bar.

This stand, formerly known as the Pop Side, currently accommodates 1,680 away spectators.

Built in 1906, Mornflake Stadium has a capacity of 10,153.

Representations to Crewe Alex's submission shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council or by emailing: [email protected] by Friday 4 August.

Crewe Alexandra begin their EFL League Two campaign at home to Mansfield Town on Saturday 5 August.
