Co-op staff at Wistaston put their best feet forward for mental health charity

By Gwyn Griffiths 27th Aug 2021

STAFF at the Co-op store in Wistaston have completed a walking trail of local stores to raise cash for a mental health charity.

Carl Beveridge, Hannah Etheridge, Beaumont Richards, Sophie Dutton, Olivia Peters and Ben Mooney called in at 13 different Co-ops in south Cheshire along their 26-mile route.

This Monday's fundraising effort has seen £255 pledged so far for Mind through JustGiving.

The epic six walkers said: "Mind is a great charity which means a lot to quite a few of our staff. The walk took us from Stapeley all the way to Saxon Cross visiting a total of 13 Co-op stores on the way.

"Luckily the weather was kind to us and we had a great time doing it while raising loads of money."

You can donate to their cause here.

  • Shoppers at Shavington Co-op have also helped swell the funds for Mind as the store has been running an outdoor book fair today (Tuesday). It stays open until 6pm.
