Cheshire man charged following drink driving incident in Crewe

A local Cheshire man has been charged with drink driving, following an incident in Crewe last weekend.

On Sunday 19 May, Cheshire Police received reports of a car being driven erratically in the town.

Officers on patrol discovered the vehicle being driven on Ruskin Road, pulling it over and detaining the driver.

Jake Tonks, 20, of Brindley, has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 25 June (Nub News).

Jake Tonks, 20, of Brindley, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

He has since been charged with the offence and bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 25 June.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Jake Tonks, 20, was arrested on Sunday 19 May.

"Tonks, of Brindley, has since been charged with drink driving.

"He has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 25 June.

Jake Tonks, 20, of Brindley, was arrested at the scene and is now on bail (Cheshire Police).

"The charge relates to an incident that occurred on Ruskin Road, Crewe, on Sunday 19 May."
