A Cheshire shoplifter has been banned from entering a retail park in Crewe after police secured a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).
Philip Harding, of Congleton, was served with the five-year order at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 15 October, following numerous incidents of shoplifting.
As a result of the order, the 39-year-old must not enter the Grand Junction Retail Park in Crewe, enter any M&S store in Cheshire and be in possession of any open container or vessel of alcohol in a public place.
If Harding fails to comply with the CBO, he will be committing a criminal offence.

Inspector Dan Welch, of Crewe Local Policing Unit, said: "Harding is a prolific offender and hopefully this five-year CBO will deter such actions in the future, while also allowing us to swiftly deal with him if he breaches any of his requirements.
"I also hope the order will provide reassurance to local businesses, demonstrating that we are committed to doing all we can to tackle shoplifting across the area."
Anyone who encounters Harding breaching the restrictions of his order is urged to contact Cheshire Police via the website or call 101, to report it.
