Cheshire drink and drug driver banned from driving after appearing at Crewe court

A 24-year-old Cheshire drink and drug driver who had no insurance and failed to stop for police has been banned from driving and fined - after appearing at Crewe court.
Reece Griffiths-Loonie, pleaded guilty to possession of a class B drug at an earlier hearing - before returning to Crewe Magistrates' Court for sentencing on Thursday 11 May.
The 24-year-old, of Parkfield Road, Northwich, was driving an Audi A1 along Chester Way, Northwich, on September 5, 2022 - without insurance and above the specified limit for alcohol.

Griffiths-Loonie failed to stop when required to do so by a police officer and was caught in possession of a quantity of amphetamine - a controlled class B drug.
The Northwich man gave a reading of 89 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood to police – just over the limit of 80.
He also had benzoylecgonine – a metabolite of cocaine – in his system at 184 microgrammes per litre of blood.
This was more than three times the 50 microgramme limit.
Crewe Magistrates' ordered for the forfeiture and destruction of the amphetamine - fining Griffiths-Loonie £166.
For drink driving, the Cheshire man was fined £250 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.

He was hit also hit with six-month ban for not having insurance and handed a 12-month driving ban for drug driving (36-month total).
No separate penalty was given to Griffiths-Loonie for failing to stop.
