Car torched in West End arson attack
Cheshire Police are investigating after a car was torched in a suspected Crewe arson attack, the second such incident in the town this week.
On Tuesday 21 January, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of an incident on Rigg Street, off West Street.
Around 11.10pm, two fire engines from Crewe arrived at the scene, discovering a vehicle well alight.
Crewe firefighters used two hose reels to put out the flames, believed to have been started intentionally.
Cheshire Police were made aware of the incident, but didn't attend. Enquiries remain ongoing.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to a fire involving a vehicle on a street.
"Two hose reels were used to put the fire out.
"Cheshire Police were informed as the most probably cause of the fire starting is believed to be deliberate ignition."
