A car driver has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries, following a crash with a HGV at a busy Crewe roundabout.
On Wednesday 19 November, emergency services were alerted to an incident at Meremore Moss Roundabout, Weston.
At 6.14am, a blue Kia Sportage and a HGV collided with one another, leaving a casualty trapped inside the car.
Police closed a section of the A500 and roundabout while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Two Crewe fire crews and a major rescue unit from Lymm used lifting equipment to safely remove the person from the Kia, before handing them into the care of North West Ambulance Service paramedics.
Road closures remain in place from J16 of the M6 up to the roundabout at the junction with the A531, with emergency workers remaining at the scene.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 6.15am on Wednesday 19 November, police were called to reports of a collision on Meremore Moss Roundabout at Weston.
"Officers attended and found the collision involved a blue Kia Sportage and a HGV.
"The driver of the Kia sustained serious injuries and has been taken to hospital for treatment.
"Road closures are currently in place while emergency services work at the scene."
