Car crashes into garden wall after rolling down Crewe street

A driverless car crashed into a garden wall in Crewe, after it rolled down a hilly street in a freak accident in the town.
On Sunday 18 August, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on Alton Street.
At 10:40am, officers arrived at the scene, discovering an empty vehicle had rolled down the bank on Ruskin Road, colliding with a wall on the neighbouring street.
Damage was caused to the vehicle and the wall, but no injuries were reported.
It is believed the handbrake had been applied but not fully applied, resulting in the car rolling down the elevated street.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 10:40am on Sunday 18 August, police were called to reports of an incident involving one vehicle in Alton Street.
"An empty vehicle had rolled down the road and damaged a garden wall.
"There were no reports of any injuries."
