A Crewe gymnast has won Great Britain's first trampoline Olympic gold, completing her set of a medal of every colour.

Bryony Page held her nerve to cement her status as Britain's most successful trampolinist after storming to a stunning gold in the women's trampolining final.

The 33-year-old became emotional after receiving a score of 56.480 for her final routine inside the Bercy Arena, jumping straight to the top of the leaderboard.

On Friday (August 2), she upped the difficulty rating for her final routine, executing with composure to claim the medal she most desperately craved.

Page won silver in Rio (2016) and bronze in Tokyo (2020) and has now completed the Olympic medal set at Paris 2024.

The Crewe-born gymnast has led the trampolining team in Paris, helping debutants Izzy Songhurst, 25, and Zak Perzamanos, 21, navigate their first Olympic experience.

Page beat Belarus' Viyaleta Bardzilouskaya, who took silver, with Canada's Sophiane Methot in bronze.

After her victory, Page told BBC Sport: "I just feel so loved and supported. This feels amazing, seeing everyone here at this side of the area to give their support.

"I had a longer wait to prepare, which I think went in my favour. Hearing the other scores I knew a medal was up for grabs.

"This win hasn't sunk in at all yet. I absolutely love the competition, the crowd, the support and flying through the sky.

"I have been dreaming of this moment for the last eight years. I was hoping to get the gold in Tokyo but missed out. This olympics has been incredibly special."
