A brand new 'exciting' care home facility set to open in Crewe this summer - aiming to help make quality care services more accessible to the local community.

Alexandra Mill, operated by Anavo Group. will launch on Jack Mills Way, Shavington, this August.

The care home will open with a suite of services for the elderly, including residential care, general nursing care, respite care, and dementia residential care.

Alexandra Mill will be taking admissions in August once the care home is fully open and operational (Anavo Group).

Alexandra Mill will be the newest care home under Anavo Group, a tight-knit, family-run organisation operating across the UK.

Anavo Group was set up in early 2020 by three founding members, with the aim of providing a different and better care offering.

It has also been recognised within the industry, recently being named a finalist in the Small Residential Care category at the Laing Buisson Awards 2022.

Director at Anavo Group, Edward Moore, said: "Anavo started as an idea – passionate people who felt elderly care could be better.

"We are grateful to do the job we do and privileged that people give us the opportunity.

Alexandra Mill will be made up of 72 private bedrooms (Anavo group).

"Alexandra Mill is incredibly exciting for us and we are thrilled to be opening what we hope will be a vitally important hub for the local community.

"Care homes are built on relationships.

"Between residents, staff, families, local people, charities and professionals – there are so many people who contribute to making a safe and happy home.

"We create the environment from the amenities and opportunities we offer and everyone is welcome."

Alexandra Mill will offer a wide range of modern and purpose-built facilities on-site, including 72 private bedrooms, all with an ensuite, smart TV, and each fully furnished.

Each Alexandra Mill bedroom will come fully furnished with an ensuite and a smart TV (Anavo Group).

Residents will have 24-hour access to general nursing, residential, or dementia care from the care home's trained and experienced staff.

They will have full board with an in-house chef and catering team, who will provide a three-course lunch and dinner each day. Special dietary requirements can also be accommodated.

Communal and dining areas will be based across the ground and first floor.

There will be full laundry service and hair salon on-site.

Other amenities include a café, shop, library, games room, club room, audio-visual room, and IT hub.

Alexandra Mill has plans to offer daycare later down the line, giving people the opportunity to get out and about, interact and socialise with like-minded peers, and enjoy the company of others.

Ahead of the opening, staff will also undertake a training and induction period to make sure they feel comfortable and confident in caring and catering for a vast range of resident needs.
