Bentley Motors Crewe headquarters has announced a recruitment drive for 100 talented engineers - forward-thinking its Beyond100 strategy to become a fully carbon neutral organisation.

Bentley is planning to launch a new electric model each year, from 2025, redefining the luxury car manufacturer's credentials. All cars will be designed and developed in Crewe.

The Crewe factory plans to switch its model range to offer exclusively plug-in hybrid or battery electric vehicles by 2026, and full electric vehicles only by 2030.   

Applications have opened today (April 26), for 50 vacancies. This will be increasing over the coming weeks and months to 100.

The positions will cover multiple disciplines of engineering and research and development.

Approximately 50 per cent are focused on electrical capabilities as Bentley aims for full electrification of its product range within the next eight years.   

The roles will based at Bentley's headquarters in Crewe. The company has also introduced hybrid working - a blend of onsite and remote working.

Following a multi-million pound investment, with brand new engineering offices, Bentley has added collaboration zones to promote interaction.

Bentley has also moved to hot desks, cutting out individual offices. This is aimed at saving space and encourage more spontaneous discussion between workers for greater teamwork.

Dr. Matthias Rabe, Bentley's Member of the Board for Research and Development, said: "Bentley is in the middle of the most significant transformative phase in the company's long and illustrious history.

"Extraordinary products has always been at the heart of our business, however tomorrow's engineers face the most exciting challenges in a generation as we become an exclusively electric car business.

"We are looking for true innovators, who can create the new future of automotive, support our product ambitions and shape our Beyond100 vision as we aim for leadership within sustainable luxury mobility."  

Bentley will also be creating vacancies for research and development within the company.

This will vary from UX/UI engineers within concepts and design, Design Managers within development and validation of parts and whole vehicles and Chassis Engineers, working on production ready vehicles.

Bentley is currently focusing on creating a more inclusive, winning culture by aiming to unlock workers performance.

The company is focusing on supporting its colleagues to become more agile, continuously learn, act sustainably and enjoy their work.

Within the past year, colleagues at Bentley Crewe have been taking part in over 30,000 learning activities - from e-learning and virtual workshops to face-to-face activities.

The company claims it has 'significantly invested in people development.'

Another part of the company's Beyond100 strategy, relates to Bentley's emphasis on becoming an employer of choice.

Bentley is focusing on attracting a wide-range of talent, including problem solvers and digital innovators from all walks of life, with the aim of achieving greater diversity in management positions moving forward.    

Earlier this year, the Top Employers Institute, named Bentley as the sole UK-based automotive manufacturer 'Top Employer' for the eleventh successive year.
