Arsonists target trampoline in Crewe playground blaze

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service dealt with a playground trampoline fire in Crewe - believed to have been started deliberately.

The incident at Valley Park, Alton Street, happened at 4:49pm on Wednesday 19 April.

Following reports of the arson attack, one fire engine from Crewe quickly arrived at the scene.

Firefighters extinguished the playground flames using a hose reel.

Cheshire Police were called to the scene due to the deliberate nature of the fire.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A trampoline on fire in a playground was extinguished with a hose reel by firefighters.

"It is believed that this fire was started deliberately.

Firefighters extinguished the Crewe playground flames using a hose reel (Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service).

"If anyone knows anything about it please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or Cheshire Police on 101."

Crewe Nub News has contacted Cheshire Police for comment.
