Arsonists set fire to Crewe wheelie bin behind locked gates
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service tackled a deliberate late night wheelie bin fire in Crewe - started from behind locked gates.
The incident on Stalbridge Road happened at 1:34am on Monday (October 10).
One fire engine from Crewe attended the scene - putting out the bin blaze.
The fire happened outside the newly-constructed apartments - covering Edleston Road and Stalbridge Road.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters used a hose reel water jet to put out a wheelie bin on fire behind locked gates."
Deliberate bin fires are becoming a common occurrence in Crewe.
This incident follows another bin fire on Bidvale Way, off Stoneley Road (September 25).
