Armed police rush to Crewe street after man makes serious threats

Cheshire Police have rushed to an address in Crewe including armed officers - after a man has made serious threats.

The incident on Bright Street began at approximately 2:40pm on Tuesday (November 8) - with the entire street blocked.

A dozen armed response officers have been witnessed at the scene - with eight at the front and four at the rear of the property.

Negotatitors have tried for hours to get the man to calm down and resolve the situation.

This evening, Cheshire Constabulary confirmed the incident to Nub News.

A spokesperson said: "Police are currently outside an address in Bright Street in Crewe following reports of threats made by a man at the address.

"The man is refusing to come out and negotiators are trying to speak with the man to resolve the situation."
