Armed police deployed to West End following reports of man with knife
Cheshire armed officers, local officers and a police helicopter were all deployed to the West End of Crewe, following reports of a man with a knife.
On Friday 25 August, police received reports of a local resident being threatened by a man, possibly armed with a blade, at an address on Ford Lane.
Just after 2pm, officers swarmed the area, with local officers joined by armed officers and a police helicopter.
A police cordon was put in place while officers dealt with the incident, searching for the man in question.
This cordon was lifted around 5pm, with officers leaving the scene.
No arrests have been made at this time, with police enquiries ongoing.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "Shortly after 2pm on Friday 25 August, police were called to reports of an incident on Ford Lane.
"The caller reported that they had been threatened by a man, who was possibly armed with a knife.
"Local Officers, supported by firearms officers and the police helicopter, were deployed to the scene and a cordon was put in place as a precaution.
"The cordon has now been lifted and officer have left the scene. No arrests have been made at this time.
"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information or video footage should contact Cheshire Police on 101, or at www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, quoting IML 1629267."
