Armed police officers were "deployed" to a West End street in Crewe, following reports of "concerns" for the welfare of a man.

On Friday 22 September, Cheshire Police were called by paramedics following reports of concerns for the welfare of a man at an address on Ford Lane.

At around 4:45pm, local officers and firearms officers arrived the scene as a 'precautionary measure.'

The man soon exited the Ford Lane address and was passed into the care of paramedics.

He was taken to hospital. No arrests were made in the incident.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 4.45pm on Friday 22 September, police were called by paramedics following reports of concerns for the welfare of a man at inside an address on Ford Lane. 

"Local officers and firearms officers were deployed to the address as a precautionary measure. 

The man soon exited the Ford Lane address and was passed into the care of paramedics. No arrests were made (Cheshire Police).

"The man subsequently exited the address and was passed to the care of paramedics."
