A-road around Crewe Railway Station closed overnight

A major A-road around Crewe Railway Station is closed one-way overnight this week, allowing Cheshire East Highways works to take place.

Nantwich Road, from Nantwich Road Roundabout to the junction of Gresty Road, is closed between 8.30pm and 6am until Thursday 30 July.

This one way closure is necessary for Cheshire East Highways to carry out drainage surveys.

The alternative route is via: Nantwich Road, Edleston Road, Oak Street, Oak Street Roundabout, Vernon Way, Vernon Way Roundabout, Earle Street Roundabout, Earle Street, Manchester Bridge, Macon Way, Nantwich Road Roundabout

Pedestrian access is permitted, with vehicular access being maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.

Cyclists are required to dismount in order for access to be maintained.

Any chance of curbing the endless vehicles parking outside the station,leaving folk scrambling to flag a bus down.
And by the way,where's Manchester Bridge,Hungerford Bridge with the name on signages,call network rail in event of a incident and they wont know where Manchester Bridge is.
